My name’s Jack and I’m addicted to fly fishing. I’m a 20 year old Law and History student at Canterbury University. I spend most of my time in Canterbury, with a couple of months in Wellington over summer. I like to think of myself as a part-time student, full-time fisherman.

As I fish in the future I’ll try and do a little summary after every trip, but for now I’ll just do a quick recap of my season so far.

   “Have you been taking your Vitamins?” Mr. D’s voice pounded in my head as I stumbled out of bed yesterday, suddenly feeling miserable. At school that simple question had really been quite common as I clocked in to work not feeling so great.

     Now, it had found its way into my foggy brain and sent me to the kitchen to scrounge around the medicine cabinet to find my misplaced bottle of vitamins. As I pulled this and that out, I wondered how I had forgotten all about them once I moved back home.

The whole Tiger Woods mess has been a pretty amazing rollercoaster ride that we were all glad to finally see come to an end. Now that Tiger Woods is getting ready to start playing professional golf again… Media agencies are getting their material ready for a whole new slew of Tiger Woods stories.

Since the storm is getting ready to start raging again I figured I would point out (for those that didn’t know) that one of Tiger Woods alleged mistresses, Loredana Jolie used to pose for Playboy Magazine (photos), which obviously means she is no stranger to taking her clothes off for money.

Fishing season finishes tomorrow (well coarse fishing on rivers does anyway). It starts again on June 16th. It’s been really busy over the last couple of weeks, with lots of work, 24-7 prayer and other stuff in the diary. Coupled with very cold temps, I didn’t really think I’d get a chance to get out for a final fish on the Bristol Avon. I found a couple of hours over the last couple of days when I managed to dash over for a go.

Glad that I did… had one bite that turned out to be a new PB Barbel – 12lb exactly. An absolute beauty.
