In Tenpin Bowling Why Is It Called A Baker When Two Teams Of Five Players Take It In Turn To Bowl?

I was watching the Weber cup on Television, (congratulations) USA. for a hard fought victory.
I loved watching this game, however I was wondering if any of my Americian friends or indeed anyone who plays tenpin Bowling know where the baker games originated. Or in deed if it was named after a Baker?

It isn't a 'Baker', it's a boker and it isn't ten-pin bowling, it's hockey, and it isn't in the USA, it's in Canada and it isn't 5 players, its 7, and it isn't two teams, it's four and it wasn't on TV, it was in your dreams.
