REIGNING champion Jason Belmonte will begin the defence of his World Tenpin Masters title against British qualifier James Tidd. Australian Belmonte, 24, clinched the 2007 competition by defeating Paul Moor in a thrilling final, which included a perfect 300 game and was the highest scoring match in the history of the tournament. The prestigious event will again be staged at the Barnsley Metrodome in South Yorkshire and will feature 16 of the best male and female bowlers from around the world vying for the $30000 top prize.
