In late Position. . . knowing what to do with Pocket AA KK QQ and 10 10. . when there hasn’t been a raise is important. A lot depends on how many people are already in the pot. . Who Raised. . what people did after there was a raise… Its pretty complicated. .
When there hasn’t been a raise… and you have these hands… in later position… You almost always Raise. . you have to figure out where your at… so when the flop happens. . You know what people likely have. If somebody raises you back. . you can fold. . or call. . but it depends on what hand you have.
If you have discipline . . and don’t play tons of hands… and have patience… Its really hard to loose tons of money… Your playing pretty tight… at this point…
In late position… with no raise… Almost any pair… including AK, AQ. is ok to call… but it depends sometimes on how much your up or down. . If your stuck a lot… it might be smarter… to throw these hands away. . Because a weak pair… you need to catch a set… on the flop… in order to make your hand worth something… Your odds are pretty GRIM . . to catch a set… You have to see 12 flops … in order to catch a set… that’s a lot of flops. . and a lot of calls.
Suited connectors in late Position (Higher cards) not 23, 45, 56…67. . These hands… are often good to play… but there needs to be enough callers in the pot. . in order to play them… If there are very few people. . Playing these cards. . makes no sense. . because your not getting implied Odds.
Any Suited Ace… that’s A 5 suited. . A 2 suited… etc. . Is another hand. . I almost always call … in late position… without a raise. . because I have position. . And if something good happens on the flop… I can usually figure out what to do. . Something good is flopping two pair with this hand. . A flush… or a Flush Draw…
